Born in Mohammedia Morocco in 1972, Zine Mazouzi studied management in Rabat prior to his move to New York to pursue his education. In 1996, He graduated from IONA College’s Hagan School of business with a Bachelor degree in Finance and International Business. Zine was then offered a full academic scholarship, a graduate assistantship and went on to complete his MBA in 1998. Zine graduated with a summa cum laude distinction, made the Dean’s honor list every single semester and was inducted to the National Scholastic Honor Society.
Immediately after graduation, Zine joined the International department of Nine West Footwear Corp in New York. In 1999, Nine West was acquired by Jones Apparel Group and Zine’s career launched forward. He was promoted to Financial Analyst in 2000, Senior Analyst in 2001, Director of Financial Planning in 2002, Vice President in 2006 and finally Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance & Financial Reporting in 2008. His responsibilities range from financial analysis and reporting to budgeting and forecasting. With 11 years of finance experience, he currently heads the financial planning and reporting team and is responsible for a multi-billion dollar annual budget.
During his last year in college, Zine was fortunate to see his name picked in the Diversity Visa Lottery and was granted a permanent resident status; He later became a US citizen. Zine currently resides in Connecticut and is happily married to Anissa Victoria Bucelloni, a veterinarian technician. Zine enjoys travel, tennis and golf.
None of the above would have been possible without the sacrifices and support of his father, the numerous prayers of his mother and Zine’s conviction and strong belief that where there is a will, there will always be a way.
Zine is always looking for ways to help Morocco and is involved in different initiatives, both personal and professional, to give back to his beloved country.
