Nawal Nahid was born and raised in El Jadida.  She completed her early education at the Groupe Scolaire d’Ange Bleu.  At 17 years of age, she moved to the States to pursue higher degrees.  Her academic accomplishments include a B.A. in Management Information Systems, and an MBA in International Business and Project Management. She also holds a postgraduate certificate in construction management from New York University.

Today, Nawal serves a Project Controls Manager at JESA, a joint venture between Jacobs Engineering and Office Cherifien de Phosphate.  She is responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring change management for the phosphate industrial development program, and infrastructure projects. Prior to that, Nawal was a Project Controls Consultant for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) and was intimately involved in major New York City's infrastructure projects such MTA Long Island Rail Road’s Connection to Grand Central Terminal, Second Avenue Subway, Number 7 Subway Extension - Hudson Yards Rezoning and Development Program, Fulton Street Transit Center, and South Ferry Terminal Project.

Nawal is also one of the co-founders of the first women's professional collaborative in Morocco, Jacobs Women's Collaborative Morocco which mission and aim are to build a multinational network, exchange and share experiences and best practices, promote a diverse environment, and enhance the professional development of women in Jacobs.
