Seddik Belyamani is executive vice president of sales for the largest division of The Boeing Company, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. He was named to this position in October 1998, which marked the beginning of his 25th year at Boeing. Since January 1994 he served as vice president of international sales for Africa, Middle East, South Asia and the Pacific regions. Up until that time he was vice president of Africa, Latin America and Middle East sales for more than 10 years. Belyamani's two decades in the company's sales organization includes a previous assignment as senior director of sales for Asia and the Pacific. He was involved in several major campaigns throughout that area. He joined Boeing in 1974 as an international airline analyst. In 1977, he was named account manager for African sales. Belyamani became director of plans and programs for international sales in 1980 and in mid-1983 was promoted to senior director. A native of Morocco, Belyamani was born November 15, 1942. He received his aeronautical engineering degree in 1967 in Toulouse, France. He has a master's degree in aeronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He served as director of maintenance and engineering for Royal Air Maroc in Casablanca and later as manager of fleet planning for Eastern Airlines in Miami. |
