Born in the district of Maarif, Casablanca, which he is proud of, he attended elementary school and high school classes in the famous school Charles de Foucauld. Once he got his high school diploma , he flew to Paris. He attended a year of Law school at Nanterre University, then one in Art History and two in a private school of Management and Business law. This completed his Parisian experience.
Well educated and smiling… this is how the officials from the hotel Riad Salam-le Meridien, Casablanca which had just opened qualified him. During four years, he has been in charge of the conciergerie department, which he considers being the true “School of hotel business”. Being part of the well-known society of the golden keys, a kind of international confraternity of ''concierge'' from great hotels, he became assistant of the sales manager, and then he was promoted as sales manager two years later.
Unflagging, he took part in all the big events that happened in Casablanca during the last ten years. Promoting, international lectures and especially high level sports event manager [First world championship of full contact with title holder El Kandili].
In 1998, Rachid was hired by a catering company from New York as a manager in charge of one of their biggest unit .
One year later, they agreed on a trading partnership regarding one of the “hottest spots” in Soho, downtown Manhattan. Specialized in openings, Rachid Echahly also works as a part-time consultant. Now living in New York with his wife and three childern, Rachid is a big fan of the Moroccan Soccer team and has great faith in his country. |
