By Morocco World News

Moroccans living in the United States have strongly reacted to the news of the arrest of the Moroccan suspected of plotting an attack on the US Capitol.

Immediately after they heard of what they described as “sad news” for Moroccans and the image of their country, they emphasized that this incident should not be exploited to tarnish the reputation of law-abiding Moroccan Americans

nali2 : I am really saddened and frustrated about what happended yesterday. I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I hopped in my car and tuned my radio to my favorite radio station WTOP to listen for trafic weather and news...

When I become aware of what happens, I called my wife and I told her the sad news, she starts crying because she always believes in her heart that moroccans in america love this country and they would never do such thing nor even think of doing any harm to our new homeland... moroccans are better than this. we came to the states because we love this country as much as we love back home.

I pray to the lord to protect our new country and makes always strong so we can always make a deference.

Now, we need to pull together and denounce this act by this mantally deranged so misguided low life person who's unfortunately was moroccan... God Bless AMERICA and the people of america...Amen

I am writing you this modest email letter on behalf of myself, my family, and my fellow American Moroccan citizens so we can express our sorrow and sadness from what took place in Alexandria Virgina yesterday February 17th due to the arrest of a moroccan man trying to commit a terror plot in the US Capitol...

zaynab2011 : Very sad but true story. Due to the nature of biz , i cross to Mexico weekly about 3 times or average, and during my 22 years of entries and exit from and to the USA ,i have never never been pulled over by any border agent. my face was familair to most of them, but few days before our idiot decided to make himself look fool, i got pulled over, and questioned inside the station for more than an hour, the next day , i decided to go back just for almost the fun of it, and the same has happend, was taken to the station, same questions.......
3 days later i returned( have a little factory there) and again the same happend, i screamed this time , and each one of these people at the broder station knew me , and nobody would tell me what was going on , then a nice agent lady pulled me over , and told me ,because you were born in Morocco,...........this idiot and his likes makes life harder to other honest noble Moroccans, who immigrated to do good for thier families , and themsleves. but some of them , under the influence of some sort of stupidity, the decide make things harder for the rest of us. ... it thier right to choose how they want to live and die , but also i have the right to say Tfffoooooooooooo.
