malik28 : Simple, i would advice everyone to stay away , and not waste time and Money, the issues facing Moroccan immigrants are clear, and do not a gathering and if i might ,i can mention a few ,but before i do that , let me stress this.Moroccan abraod are counted to be 5 millions, with less than 7% of these are in the USA , they also counted for over 41.9% of foreign currency held by Moroccan banks,
also these immigrant are beleived to be supporting more than 31.3 of Moroccan populations direct or indirectly.

In return the services Moroccan immigrants getting back dont reflect a balanced trade, start from the countries they resides, services at the embassy levels are very bad,the services when they return home are really bad .

we should talk about these issues, and others , but we need a gathering to celibrate, not to talk, people tlak when they are looking to identify the issue , but here we have issues all over ,and the moroccans overseas should strike for one year, and demand a better treatment from the airlines, from the treatment are the point of origin, and also stop sending money , only in case of extreme emergencies, and voila, we have a better weaopon to use , we do not need to use these tea pots yet , we can keep them clean till the day of victory and save the planet few pounds of sugar ,
the opinion expressed here is solely mine , and do not reflect anyone else . Dr Malik roubini

who am I? : Dr Malik...Do yourself a favor and "ster ma ster lah". You sound very much like the people you're criticizing. If people like yourself can get a PhD., then I can probably get 5 of them. Thanks for giving me the inspiration...

I'm going to be brutally honest, for your own sake. Your communication skills and your thought process are just horrendous. This may be excusable for someone with a high school, bachelor, and even and MBA. But a PhD? C'on! I would buy a few books or register at a language school to remedy this problem. What good is Knowledge if you can't even communicate it?

Now back to the issue that you commented on - which the article doesn't even mention - the flow of people, money, and goods from the US or anywhere else in the world back to Morocco through its expatriates will always be there regardless. There are many obstacles out there and there's much to do to help the Moroccan economy and improve the quality of life of Moroccan citizens and families on both sides of the ocean. Improvements in money transfers, consular services, airline prices, vacation packages, customs, public services..etc are very much overdue. I am not sure what's taking the CCME this long to figure some of these things out...

Last but not least, I applaud initiatives such as this. I can only imagine the opportunities such events create for both sides. This is also a great source of data for the CCME to take advantage of and act upon. I hope I see another article reporting on the outcome.

Peace V.
