But knowing the laws in Morocco, the most they'll probably do is 5 years. But then again if they have the right kind of money, they can buy their way out much earlier.
This poor girl is now being used by the official propaganda machine to tell the world that Morocco is "dawlat al7a9 wal9anoun". That did not happen till (NGO) human rights organizations got involved and decided to represent this poor child and lobby on her behalf.

It’s funny how here in the US or other parts of the world we hear inspiring stories about people helping each other and risking their own lives to save someone else’s; people volunteering in humanitarian organizations to help others that are less fortunate. Then a story like this pops up from a Muslim country, from people who are suppose to be practicing a religion that’s all about peace, helping others, feeding the poor and serving the community.
I wonder why Morocco is still about 40 years behind in civilization and as I’ve always said, no matter how much the media tries to paint the image of that country to make it look civilized, democratic and modern to draw both foreign and Moroccan investors, if you look deep inside you'll see the ugly truth.
More I think about this, more I come to the conclusion that Morocco is an extremely beautiful country and has a tremendous potential but its people are holding it back and that’s too bad. The problem is that they don’t love it the way they should…the patriotic way. they don’t even like each other and this article is a proof of it. I mean the least they can do (and believe me it will be a HUGE help ) is If everyone does his/her job with some dignity and honesty, they would help put a stop to corruption, bribery and abuse that’s everyone else is suffering from, then perhaps others will start thinking how they can help the country not the other way around. Psychos can do anything and anywhere in this world. The key is enforcing laws, thougher laws to protect the weak and the innocent. Parents should be held accountable for giving their kids away to a total stranger in return of few dirhams and used clothing...they should be put in jail too, thier kids are thier responsibility to protect, educate, feed... not a source of income. I strongly believe that this phenomenon will stop once parents are severely repremended and treated like criminals, which they are.
They should provide more educational programs in parenting and family planning, birth control especially in rural areas.
Kids has been abused and tortured here too until DYFS gets involved, many times it's too late, they just make the front page news and become important after they die or live damaged for life.
You know what is missing is the sense of compassion within our communities now at days, someone must have known and seen what whas happening to that child, a family member, a friend a neighbor...but no one got involved. I have seen more hijab and more crowded mosques through the years but less and less faith and lack of true islam. Please do not link this torture to only Morocco. Every country has its shits(in the USA, this girl that appears after 18 years in detention by her abducted), and it is not the corruption or laws that will make a difference, it is the involvement of the citizens to stop it.

In fact, the women who appeared 18 years after her kidnapping is just an example...no one is denying that BUT the difference is that here we all know that justice will be served, and no one walks away from a crime. استنكارا عارما في أوساط الشارع الوجدي، الذي شجب قيام رجل قانون أولا باستغلال طفلة لم تتجاوز 11 ربيعا لتقوم بالأعمال المنزلية الشاقة، وثانيا بتعذيبها بواسطة الضرب والجرح مستخدمين في ذلك أدوات من قبيل العصا والأسلاك الحديدية، إضافة إلى الزيت الساخن والقضبان التي استعملت لكي أنحاء مختلفة من جسد الصغيرة.
وتحت حراسة مشددة مازالت الضحية ترقد بغرفة منفردة في جناح طب وجراحة الأطفال، وقد منع ممثلو وسائل الإعلام المكتوبة ومسؤولي الجمعية المغربية لحقوق الإنسان فرع وجدة من زيارتها والاطمئنان على حالتها الصحية والنفسية بدعوى أوامر من وكيل الملك.
وفي هذا الإطار، أصدرت الجمعية المغربية لحقوق الإنسان - فرع وجدة بلاغا أعلنت خلاله عن تضامنها مع أسرة الضحية "زينب"، مطالبة بأن "تأخذ القضية مسلكها القانوني والحقوقي وأن يقول القضاء كلمته بمعاقبة الجناة مهما علا شأنهم" كما دعت الجمعية المسؤولين إلى "تفعيل آليات حماية حقوق الطفل وفي مقدمتها تجريم التعذيب ومنع تشغيل الأطفال، وملاءمة القوانين المحلية مع المرجعية الدولية لحقوق الإنسان..."
هذا وفي تصريح لجريدة "الاتحاد الاشتراكي" أشار الأستاذ محمد امباركي، رئيس الفرع الجهوي للجمعية المغربية لحقوق الإنسان بالجهة الشرقية، بأن "ما تعرضت له الطفلة زينب على يد مشغليها من أساليب تعذيب وحشية لا شك أن تكون له آثاره النفسية الوخيمة على شخصية الطفلة ونموها" وأضاف الأستاذ امباركي بأن هذا الأمر "يطرح مسألتين أساسيتين في ظل اتساع خريطة الاعتداء على الطفولة ببلادنا واستمرار ظاهرة تشغيل الأطفال هما: أولا غياب الانكباب الجدي للمسؤولين على تفعيل الآليات القانونية والمؤسساتية والتربوية لحماية الطفولة ضد مختلف الممارسات الحاطة بكرامة الطفل والمنتهكة لحقوقه الأساسية، وثانيا استمرار ظاهرة الإفلات من العقاب للمسؤولين عن هاته الانتهاكات، سيما إذا كانوا ينتمون إلى جهات نافذة مما يجعل من مبدأ المواطنين سواسية أمام القانون كلام لا معنى له.." وأردف رئيس الفرع الجهوي للجمعية المغربية لحقوق الإنسان "نعتقد بأن قضية الطفلة زينب ستشكل اختبارا حقيقيا لمدى استقلالية ونزاهة القضاء في بلادنا، والذي يعاني من اختلالات عميقة أصبحت تثير قلق الدولة المغربية نفسها..."
وكان قسم المستعجلات بمستشفى الفارابي بوجدة قد استقبل مساء الخميس 20 غشت طفلة في حالة يرثى لها تعاني من ارتفاع شديد في درجة الحرارة بفعل إصابتها بحروق متفاوتة على مستوى أنحاء مختلفة من جسدها الصغير، وقد تبين أنها تعرضت لاعتداء شنيع من قبل مشغليها، حيث تعمل الصغيرة، والتي تم جلبها من إقليم تازة، كخادمة بمنزل أحد القضاة بمدينة وجدة.
وقد نقلت الطفلة إلى المستعجلات لتلقي العلاج من طرف رجال الشرطة، الذين أحالوها قبل ذلك على وكيل الملك بعد معرفة هوية المشغل. وقد علمنا من مصدر جد موثوق أن رجال الأمن عادوا مرة أخرى إلى المستعجلات لاستلام الطفلة، غير أن أحد الأطباء امتنع عن تسليمهم إياها لكونها بحاجة إلى العلاج والرعاية...
ومن جهة أخرى، أفادت بعض المصادر بأن والد الطفلة "الضحية"، والذي أبدى استعدادا كاملا لمقاضاة المسؤولين عما أصاب فلذة كبده، يكون قد تراجع عن ذلك بسبب ضغوط تعرض لها من قبل أطراف تسعى منذ وطأت قدما الصغيرة قسم المستعجلات إلى طمس القضية مادام المتهم فيها قاض وأسرته...

تجارة الرقيق بصيغة اخرى في مغرب العهد الجديد
رغم اتجاه المغرب نحو الحداثة و الديموقراطية فانه لم يستطع ان يقضي على تجارة الرقيق و المؤسف في الأمر أن رجال القانون في سلك القضاء يمارسونها بعلنية مفضوحة.... فعن طريق السمسار استطاع القاضي خالد.ي ان يحصل على طفلة لا يتجاوز سنها 11 سنة تنحدر من أحراش مدينة تازة و بضبط من سبت باب الرملة تنتمي إلى عائلة فقيرة بل إلى اسرة تقف على ادنى عتبات الفقر والدها محمد الشطيط وأمها ربيعة ضاقا بها ذرعا لقلة ذات اليد فسلماها الى متاجر في اللحوم البشرية "سمسار بالدارجة المغربية" الذي سافر بها الى مدينة وجدة لتستقر بحي الوحدة على ضفاف واد اسلي في فيلا قاض شاب لم يتجاوز الثلاثين من عمره متزوج وأب لأربعة أطفال و خامسهم في الطريق لم تكن تظن زينب أنها بين أيدي وحوش آدمية لا تعرف الرحمة و لا الشفقة كانت أحلامها لا تتجاوز أحلام اطفال يركضون في الدروب تحلم بالحنان والسعادة غير أن حاضرها سيكون اقسى من ماضيها وان الفيلا الفخمة ستكون أضيق من الكوخ الصغير الذي ترعرعت فيه رفقة إخوتها...
معاناة يومية وتعذيب بابشع الطرق
أوهم السمسار أسرة زينب أنها ستشتغل في منزل لرجل محسن مول خير كبير يعرف ماله وما عليه وسيعمل على إدخالها المدرسة كبقية الأطفال لكن الواقع كان مخالفا لما صوره السمسار ومنذ الأيام الأولى طلب من زينب أن تشمر على ساعديها النحيفين لتقوم بأشغال شاقة داخل الفيلا الكبيرة جدا...لم تقو زينب على الرفض وإنما باشرت أعمالها بكل صبر راجية من الله ان ينصفها من مخالب هؤلاء الوحوش ....مع مرور الايام بدت سادية القاضي وزوجته تطفو على السطح فلم يكتفيا بتشغيلها وقيامها بالعمل الشاق وانما زادوا على ذلك الضرب فكان الزوج ياخذ "عمود الشطابة " ولا يرتاح له بال الا بعد ان يكسره على جسدها النحيف ثم تاخذ الزوجة المبادرة وتجهز عمود أخر لتتمم عملية التعذيب دون شفقة و لا رحمة لم ينفع زينب بكاءها و لا توسلها و لا طلب الرحمة من القاضي وزوجته الساديين بعد مرور مدة على هذه الآلية من التعذيب وجد أنهما بحاجة إلى تعذيب اقصى ليشفيا نفسيتهما المريضة المائلة الى تعذيب الآخر و هكذا اهتديا إلى الكي بأدوات عديدة و في مناطق مختلفة و حساسة من جسد الضحية اذ عند معاينتنا بمستشفى الفرابي للضحية سجلنا مناطق كثيرة كانت موضع كي و عرفنا من خلال الممرضة مواضع حساسة و غير مكشوفة أما الأدوات المستعملة فصرحت لنا الطفلة و دموع عينيها تنهمر على وجهها الشاحب :"كان كيحمي السفود و يكويني بيه و كا ياخد الخيط ديال الضو و يضربني بيه و مراتو كانت كتسخن الفرشيطة فالزيت و تكويني بها ..."
الهروب من الجحيم
عمد القاضي وزوجته إلى احتجاز الضحية زينب لمدة أكثر من أسبوعين نظرا لكثرة الإصابات المحدثة في جسدها و أخطرها إصابة في الرأس فاضطر على اثرها حلق شعر زينب حتى لا تتوسع دائرة التعفن و اصابة في اللسان و الشفتين و اخرى في عضوها التناسلي ...لم تعد زينب تقو على الحركة اذ وصلت على مشارف الموت و لكنها في لحظة غفلة من القاضي و زوجته استطاعت ان تخرج من الفيلا لتفر في اتجاه وادي اسلي و هناك التقت بشخص اسمه عبد الله أثارت انتباهه و اوقفها ليسألها عن حالها فسقطت أرضا و هي تلهث و عرف ما وقع لها من مصائب و في هذا الصدد صرح لنا عبد الله بما يلي :"كنت بالقرب من واد اسلي أرعى قطيع ماعزي الى ان تفاجات بها منهكة ترتدي سروالا اسود اللون وقميص اخضر وقدمين حافيتين في حالة يرثى لها واثار التعذيب تكسو جسدها تصارع الموت..."
قادها عبد الله الى حي الطوبة لطلب الإغاثة فأخذتها سيدة وزوجها الى مصالح الشرطة بعد اندهاشهما من حالتها الخطيرة ...فتح رجال الشرطة محضرا في القضية واستمعوا الى الرجل وزوجته ثم الى الطفلة زينب وفي حدود الساعة 11 ليلا تم نقلها الى مستشفى الفارابي .
زينب تثير الرعب بمستشفى الفارابي
بمجرد ما وصلت زينب الى المستشفى عبر سيارة الإسعاف حتى انتشر الخبر بين ارجاء المستشفى ونزلت التعليمات على المسؤولين كي يعزلوا زينب في حجرة خاصة وان لا يتحدثوا في الموضوع مع أي احد خاصة مع الصحافة فوضعت زينب في قسم خاص بالأطفال بالطابق الاول في اقصى شمال القسم الثاني بالقاعة 3...وحسب مصادر مقربة فان التعليمات جاءت من السيد الوالي وبالتالي ظهرت الكثير من علامات الاستفهام والتعجب من الحذر الذي استعمل في قضية زينب الى درجة انه في البداية منع رجال الشرطة من تصوير الضحية الى ان تم فتح أسرار هذه القضية بعد دخول جمعيات حقوقية على الخط ومطالبتها بكشف الحقيقة وعدم اقبار الملف .
رفض الطبيب المكلف بالقسم الإدلاء لنا بتشخيص لحالة الطفلة"حيت خاف على بلاصتو" لكن على الرغم من ذلك استطعنا معاينتها ووقفنا على حجم المعاناة وقساوة الايام التي قضتها الطفلة بمعية القاضي وزوجته اذ لم تستطع العناية المركزة التي خضعت لها ان تمحو آثار التعذيب الماثلة على الجسد الصغير من بداية الرأس حتى القدمين و كأن زينب افترستها ذئاب شرسة بل يمكن ان نقول ان الذئاب الشرسة ارحم مما فعل القاضي و زوجته بزينب كما أن والد الضحية محمد الشطيط في تصريحه للجريدة عازم على متابعة القاضي و عدم التنازل له ... و امام هول هذه الكارثة طلبت الجمعيات الحقوقية أيضا بعدم اقبار الملف و متابعة الجناة بأقصى العقوبات و اتضح في الأخير ان خطاب جلالة الملك لا يهدف الى الدعوة إلى اصلاح القوانين فقط و إنما لإصلاح نفسية بعض القضاة الذين عبروا عن مدى افسادهم لهذه المهنة النبيلة أولئك الذين يعتبرون أنفسهم فوق القانون البشري و فوق القانون الإلهي لكنهم ينسون أن بين دعوة المظلوم و الله لا يوجد أي حجاب.

For me if there is a population without a sense of humanity it is unfortunately the moroccan, what I understood and I saw they will tell oh how do you do you don't how to read arabic, my answer to them was I don't how to read arabic but I know what means the word respect others and myself, and the worse thing it's about civilisation malheureusement they think that civilisation it's drinking, smoking and partying in there way, mais merde, it's time to wake up, when you are raised in a family who teaches you respect and good manners you don't reach to point to beat someone, I think to speak to that I'm sure that she will understand, her parents put her to work very sure that they are in the need of this small amount of money they will pay et les voleurs are enjoying their live with money they steal from this poor families, they building their villas etc.....

No one cares, corruption is everywhere, everyone is stealing from the each other, and all blinded with greed. You can never get a service without bribing the servicer…imagine you’re bribing someone to do hi/her job!?!?!? Of course no one does anything for humanity as they can’t even do their own job without getting paid for it twice. People don’t speak up, they don’t know how in a civilized way, they are waiting for the government to do it for them, improve their life, create jobs for them stop the abuse of power created by “everyone” who has a government job and that goes from makhazni to wazir , from a el baladia to a wizara and make everything cheaper….a dream that will never become reality. The government officials who are "suppose" to run the country are too busy trying to take care of their own individual agendas, so therefore they don't care about anyone else, in fact they use poor people as their cash cow by augmenting their cost of living, taxes...etc. This creates two different world within one. The rich people who are killing each other trying to screw everyone who come across, to see who can end up with more money and the poor are also killing each other, some of them leaving in a rat race trying to make it to the other while others just trying to make ends meet. This behavior set the country back and makes it look uncivilized, undemocratic because no one does anything for Morocco.
Zaky2@aol.com : The wife of a prominent attorney in Rabat was just acquitted of the same crime despite a prepondrance of evidence against her including witnesses, medical reports and clear burn marks on two little sisters that worked at her house.
The abuser is now also suing the representative of the human rights group that brought the suit forth originally.
Understand that to this day, the judge in question in Oujda has yet to be questioned by the "procureur general" since they're still waiting for the minister of justice or "injustice" in this case to clear the way for the judge to be questioned. In Morocco, judges among others enjoy special protections that must be waived by the said minister in order for such cases to move forward.
They're attempting at this time to focus blame on the wife who is several months pregnant and to use "lou7em" as one of the reasons for torturing the child. Mercy for the wife/torturer will be asked for in consideration for her pregnancy. Expect a slap on the wrist at best.
By the way, the little girl is now confined to her hospital room which she is not allowed to leave. She is not allowed to speak to anyone or receive anyone except as authorized by the authorities and the hospital administration. How ironic that she is now the one "imprisoned", while her alleged torturers have yet to spend a day in jail.
I wish to see a Morocco where justice is swift and firm with strict oversight by a constitution guaranteeing the autonomy of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government. Until that day, economic reforms will continue to be like a wild beast without a soul or social vision. It is a recipe for disaster. "Alemzouwe9 men berra ach khbarek menldakhel".
